When a restaurant loses its water, every hour it stays closed costs money. So when a leaking water service line threatened to shut one of our commercial customers down in the middle of winter, we moved fast.
Finding the leak first
The first step on any water service emergency is locating the line and confirming exactly where it is leaking. Guessing means tearing up more of the property than you need to. We located the service, pinpointed the leak, and made a plan.
The repair
We replaced a 150-foot stretch of water service, including 33 feet that ran under asphalt. Working under pavement takes more planning and cleanup, but it is routine utility work for us.
Timed around the business
We started the dig at 2 a.m., right after the restaurant closed for the night. That gave us enough time to excavate, make the repair, and get it inspected before the doors opened at 11 a.m. The customer never lost a day of business.
