When a barn, detached garage, pool house, EV charger or generator needs power or internet, the hard part is getting the line there. We trench or bore conduit from the house to wherever it needs to go, plan around the septic and the services already in the ground, and leave a spare conduit for the next thing. Our electrician partner makes the connections.

How we do it

Barns, detached garages, pool equipment, EV chargers and generators all need a line from the house. We plan the route around everything already in the ground, call in the markout, and trench or bore the conduit at depth.

We like to add a spare empty conduit in the same trench, because the second line, for internet, a camera or a gate, always comes up later and it costs very little while the machine is already there. Our electrician partner makes the connections.

Common questions

Underground Power & Data: what people ask us

Can you run internet out to a barn or detached garage?

Yes. Network or fiber cable goes in conduit in the same trench as the power, or in its own if it is going a long way. It is the same work we do for internet providers every day.

Do you set generator pads?

Yes. We grade and set the pad or footing, trench the lines back to the house, and work with the electrician and plumber so the generator is done start to finish.

Why add an extra conduit?

Because digging the second time costs far more than a spare pipe the first time. An empty conduit with a pull string lets you add internet, a camera or a gate line later without another trench.
